Founded in 2020, Dvara E-Dairy is an incubatee of Entrepreneur in Residence program with Dvara Trust. It is developing innovative solutions to solve problems of small and medium dairy farmers. It is providing the farmers (1) access to financial and value chain markets (2) digital services to dairy farmers to track health status of their animals, developing digital unique identity for cattle, and (3) providing digital tools to financial services institutions to help them in their decision-making process while providing financial assistances to the farmers.Dvara e-dairy currently has business partnerships with 1 Financial institution, 6 insurers and with more than 52 FPOs and MPCs. These partnerships include Jana Small Finance Bank, Milky Mist (Manufacturer of dairy products in Tamil Nadu who are providing farmer database to Dvara), Heritage (Private sector dairy enterprises in Southern India to whom Dvara is providing cattle management recommendation), IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance, Maahi (milk producing company in Gujarat which is also in the business of pooling, purchasing, processing of milk and milk products) , IIFL Samasta Finance Ltd (financial institution to which Dvara is providing cattle management recommendations), and Commercial Farmer Producer Company Ltd. wherein it assists with cattle management recommendation, collecting farmer database, providing assistance in insurance claims etc. It is also exploring further opportunities of partnerships with Asha (milk producer company incorporated in Rajasthan) for marketing about Dvara and Avanti Finance (a digital financial platform in Bangalore operating under an NBFC and MFI license to provide loans to unserved and underserved households) to provide loans to farmers.
